How accurate is the clock?

The clock starts with your device time, then checks our server and estimates network delay. The sync label shows the network estimate, not a guarantee of absolute accuracy. Server accuracy depends on the hosting system’s clock. Read how synchronization works.

How do you know my time zone?

Your browser tells us its configured time zone. We don’t request your GPS location or use an IP-location service. The city in the label represents your time zone and may not be your actual city.

Does the world clock adjust for daylight saving?

Yes. City clocks use your browser’s IANA time-zone rules, including seasonal changes and half-hour or quarter-hour offsets. Keep your browser and operating system updated so recent rule changes are included.
